Nice to meet you!
I'm Elizabeth, and I was born in Chicago, Illinois, but raised in NYC since I was one. So, as far as I can tell, I am and always will be a New Yorker (cue Empire State of Mind by JAY-Z ft. Alicia Keys).

So, how I got into UX has been quite the journey. Coming from a clinical research background, where I published studies on the efficacy of rTMS (a.k.a. brain stimulation) on Alzheimer's disease patients, the natural course of action seemed to be medical school. However, when it came time to actually submit my med school application, it just didn't feel right. I knew right then and there that I needed to pivot (anyone else hearing this in Ross's voice from Friends?).

After much soul-searching, I realized I wanted a career that combined my analytical mindset with a touch of creativity. I’ve always felt most content solving problems—whether it’s designing a cozy apartment space or finding unique angles to capture moments with my camera. This balance of logic and creativity naturally led me to mixed-method research, where uncovering insights to shape brand and marketing strategies requires both analytical rigor and innovative thinking. After talking to mentors, I found my path in research and have been thriving in this journey ever since!

Thank you for stopping by and I am excited to see how you could be a part of my journey!
